Do you think the AP should be held accountable for wittingly releasing false information?

This morning they release a story that Clinton plans to concede tonight. This story goes out before today鈥檚 votes have been cast, manipulating the voters not to bother, as the race is over. Clinton Headquarters have since said this is a lie and she is not planning to concede, but the damage was already done.Do you think the AP should be held accountable for wittingly releasing false information?
Yes. It's the press manipulating the vote. The press did the same thing in 2000 with Bush/Gore. The press called Florida for Bush before ALL the precincts in that state closed. As a result, some voters figured their votes would be wasted and didn't go. Had that not happened, Gore may have won. I can't say for certain he would have won, but there was the outside chance had the press not opened its mouth. We all know now that ALL votes DO matter. However, the press has manipulated both sides of the aisle to get the nominees the press wants. It's not us citizens making the choice but the press.

I hope the lesson we should have learned in 2000 is one we learned this year. Don't rely on polls and the press to tell you which candidate is going to win and should win. Vote with your heart and make sure your vote is heard.Do you think the AP should be held accountable for wittingly releasing false information?
Is this really a surprise?

I'm not a fan of Clinton's but you have stories like this, you have CNN distorting the popular vote math so only under ';certain scenario's'; does she have a lead (sorry Obama fans - they double the caucus estimates of everyone else to do that)

As someone said... selected not elected.

I know he has a lot of support but when the media does things like this, it sure starts to like that.
Just another example of the media trying to manipulate elections. I favor election reform. All primaries should be held on the same day. No news media should be allowed to announce any results including exit polling until all polling places are closed (at least in the continental US). This will prevent the bandwagon approach to voting.
Its over.

AP.... http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/P/P鈥?/a>
Its just not the AP they all [CBS ABC FOX ETC] throw out alot of BS that is not true,on the average of 99% BS and 1% half lies.
The Clinton campaign is a sad parody of itself at this point.

In debt up to it's eyeballs.

I don't care though - the longer she stays in, the more people ignore John McCain.
I read that Clinton said she would concede when Obama hit that 'magic' number of delegates. That's likely to happen today regardless of what the AP released.
How do you hold the A/P accountable for anything??

It would be better if they came out and said the same thing for Obama...

Whatever happens in November, we're screwed anyway....
This is so typical for the Obama-leaning media.
finally a reason why she is not winning!
how do you know it is false?
good god yes
