I know some victims refuse to have a rape kit down because it's humiliating and they're adamant about not wanting to press charges. Rest assured, someone who makes false allegations will refuse a rape kit. I wish people wouldn't make allegations unless they were true because it makes it harder for the real victims to come forward because they're less likely to believe the police will believe them. If someone comes forward with false allegations and refuses to have the rape kit done I guess the only way to find out the allegations are false is to dig into the alleged victim's past. Police don't want to waste precious time investigating false charges because that is time that could have been spent on real cases. At the very least it ticks them off.
I think the DA's main focus for a case being built against any person's who's falsified rape charges; after the ';not guilty'; verdict has been given is to take the false victim back to court under charges of perjury (Making false claims and lying under oath). This was one of the nails in the coffin for the female rapper ';Lil' Kim'; court case that landed her I think 3 years in prison. I'm sure there are a number of other charges that can be brought against someone who's charged false allegations of rape in court. For example slander or defamation of character (ruining the supposed perpetrators good name) which can and does cause the assumed rapist to loser their job (wages lost), lose a license to practice his or her profession, maybe even court fees paid for a divorce if he/she is married. Now, once its been proven that the woman or man was not guilty of rape, they will not be listed as a registered sex offender, they will not spend any more time in jail (only time served) and they will have their criminal record reflect them being exonerated of all or most of the charges against them. Remember, there may be a number of charges pending against the assumed rapist (i.e. assault and battery, maybe stalking and kidnapping, if underage drinking is involved, providing alcohol to a minor). So he/she may not be cleared of all the charges being brought against them, but if its proven that they're not guilty of rape they will be relased and cleared of that specific charge.





In my own opinion, I think anyone who fasly accuses someone of rape, they should receive the same prision sentance that the assusmed perpertator would have received had they'd been found guilty. I think that he/she should recieve the title of 'sex offender' and be added to the national database, so that they may see what a fasly accused sex offender would have to go through had they been found guilty.

The birth control pill is NOT one of the medications that can give a false result on a HPT. If you get a negative result, it's best to trust it.

No, there's nothing that would make your hCG levels seem 5 times lower or higher than the non-pregnant sate (which is what you'd need to get a false reading on an HPT). If you're worried, I'd get a blood test one. Planned Parenthood do them for $15 in the larger branches. Might make you feel better!
Not sure abouth the pill but I had false negative hpt and blood tests. It can happen early in the pregnancy when your body hasn't created enough hcg to be detected by the tests.

You 'should' get a positive results by now. It is very normal for HPT to give false negative results early on in pregnancy. Since you have not had a period in 2 months I suggest going to the doctor. I'm sure the people you are reffering to don't think rape is fine, just that accusing someone of rape when it never happened is truly horrible. While rape is firstly physical then emotional, accusing someone of rap is first emotional, then followed by physcial abuse when the girls families, police, or other inmates beat them up, or maybe something worse. A man also accused of rape is likely to lose their job or career, their families would turn their backs on them, their wife and kids will not want to know them. A rape victim will still have their family and friends and job. Not that I think its worse but thats the point of view.

Our heatpump unit outside works, but in between the running times, it makes a noise like it is going to start up again, but then doesn't run. Depends on where you are. In the U.S., most states have a way for you to expunge the record, which means you go to a court and file for expungment, and all agencies with records of it must send the court the records and remove anything that identifies you from things like computer records.





Most places, a police report from a closed case, one not prosecuted or already disposed, is public record, and you have to request a copy in writing from the agency. I suggest the expungment route. Then, in effect, it never happened, and it won't come up on criminal history checks. A lawyer can do it for you pretty reasonable. Shop it around. You can do it yourself, if you find the right forms. One way to do that is to ask the clerk of the court where these are filed in your state to sell you a copy of any previous petition and use that as a guide. If you have some sort of proof, then MAYBE. Merely saying the statement is false, is not proof. They know you thinks it false, thats why you plead not guilty. You would need some irrefutable proof that the statements made by the officer where false, and not clerical error false, knowingly perjury false. I have asked quite a few questions and have gotten quite a few answers, but one thing that I can almost always bet on is someone saying that my premise is false and therefore my question is worthless.





But I ask, if the premise is not understood by someone, if the person being asked is too ignorant or arrogant to understand the question, does this suddenly invalidate the question?





The answer must be no, since all things are relative to all people, right? Just because it is not true to one does not mean that it is not true to all, right?





And as such should these who say such things keep this in mind and remain silent, instead of tearing others down?

you need to mark out your rafters they are not always the same they tend to move around during construction .


you have about one inch to one and a half inch border around the top of your walls to fasten the drywall to. its important that you marl all of this off be for you start.


decide how low you want your drop ceiling to go and mark it off .


and tack up the bordering to the studs .


you need to mark off were you want your lights to go . allot of people start in one corner me i prefer to start in the middle but this takes allot of measurements and you have to make sure all of your lines flow .


now depending on the size of tiles you are going to use will determine were you hang your wire


you will need allot of wire so buy a big spool it is cheeper this way .


now you need to cut the wire long enough to have some left over . you can always cut off but cant add to .


hang all of the wire from the ceiling rafters then you can hang the spine .


on the spine it is important that it is in uniform so it is a good idea to have a piece of wood to use as a guild .


now the area between the spines you might have to alter unless it comes pre cut .

In a nutshell...


Start by going around the perimeter with an ';L'; piece. Then lay the main crossbars in, followed by the cross-t's. Put in all the full pieces of tile in first, then the cut pieces.


I'm pretty sure that they make recessed light for drop ceilings, you'll have to double check with your lighting retailer.
It's pretty simple really..





Just put some glue on the ceiling and glue the tiles onto them. For around the light fittings just use a knife to cut the shapes out.
I have installed these in my flat, as my lease didn't allow me to make holes in the original ceiling.





The size of joist you use will depend on how far you need to span - I used 2 x1 inch (deepest part upwards) as it was a bathroom and passageway. Fix length all round at the right level (give yourself the recommended clearance above the ceiling for the lights. Then fix cross pieces in the shortest direction at about 2 foot centres. I also fitted some lttle struts between the old ceiling and the new to allow for hammering.





I then used 3mm plywood across the lot, making sure any joins occured on a batten. This is lighter than MDF and amazingly stiff, and easy enough to cut. Prior to putting it up I primed and filled it whilst it was on the floor and glued some patches of plasterboard where the lights were going to go on the back.





Having added cables for the electric I then closed up the ceiling gluing and pinning as I went taking care to fill the joints between sheets. I then cut holes for the lights and wired them up. Hey bingo - a solid looking ceiling without compromising the original ceiling or adding significantly to the load on structure. You could paint it with fire retardant if that was a concern, but I daresay its no worse than putting paper all over the ceiling.

you need to buy the L brackets that go around the perimeter walls. install 3 inches down from ceiling, then you can measure to figure out your center unless you dont mind having the ends uneven.install the main braces then the cross braces. attach to existing ceiling or floor joists and install the tiles. if you want to install pot lights you should buy tiles that are firm because the tiles that flex will not support the potlights properly

Now my question to you is by proclaiming your question does it make you feel better or are you just hoping to make others who celebrate Christmas feel guilty.Like others have already said we all know it is not Christ date of Birth and at the time of his coming birthdays were not celebrated so days of Birth were not important. So if you were born at that time they would have said you were born say for example during the reign of Pilate's first year. Historically the Church chose the solstice as the day to Celebrate Christ Birth and it had a very positive effect on converting Pagans. It's true that Christmas Day originally was celebrated to compete against all of the other religious celebrations of the day, but you're right, most people don't know this. I celebrate it out of joy and thanksgiving for Jesus Christ and the opportunity to share the event with family, church and friends. Regardless of the day Jesus was born I am thankful for the Roman Catholics (though I am not Catholic) for carving out a celebretory day during a cold, dim and rather ungoldly time of the year (at that time and place anyway) to be a day of joy at the hope we have in Christ. I see so much meaning and symbolism there and am very glad to celebrate it! I also find Christmas hymns are rich with worship and meaning and even many of the secular traditions of giving and receieving can be incorporated into the meaning of Christmas.





Furthermore, my faith in Jesus gives me the freedom to celebrate certain holidays without guilt or fear of judgement. As a matter of fact, in the Old Testiment, God even marked certain days for celebration and feasting so that His people would have days of rememberance, sharing and joy! When I celebrate Christmas, I celebrate it joyfully. I do know the history of Yuletide, and I find it a rather sickening part of history that is what it is, history! That in itself I can be joyful about!

I think it makes good sense to have a competing holiday. As the pagans began to convert to Christianity, they were highly likely to keep Christian holy days and pagan celebrations. Not a good idea. So, the Church gave them a way to have a celebration at the time they were used to, and yet keep it completely Christian. Very logical.





We don't know when Christ was born. Pagans, Romans or anyone else can't ';own'; a day of the year. Anyone can celebrate anything on any day of the year.





I used to live near an old woman who was born in the late 1800's. She was the daughter of sharecroppers and no one had recorded her birth date. So, when she grew up, she picked a day and celebrated her birthday. She had a birthday celebration once a year, on a day of her choosing...just because it wasn't the actual day, it didn't detract from the celebration at all.
What is false about Christmas? It is when Christians celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. I could not care any less about Pagan holidays or if they have any similarity to Christian holidays. It just makes no difference. They can celebrate any way they want or any time. I just want a day to give thanks and praise to my Lord for His salvific work done for me and all humanity. Now which of these facts proves your assertion that chsritmas is a fasle holiday. Jesus was born and we celbrae his birth on Decemeber 25th.





Now whethter we celbrate Jesus's birth as we were hiding from offical roman persecution many of us literally underground below the city of rome in the catecombs is irrelevant. Eventully we converted the roman emperor constaine, and thus defeated teh rman empire as st' john predicted in the book of the apocolypse, and could therfore come above ground literally and figuratively.





But the Mass has not changed since jesus instituted it at the last supper. We celebrate it now jsut as wee did when we were hiding from the roman persecution. what is your point?
I disagree with you and I feel sorry for you, it's not a false holiday. We choose to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day, you are really missing out on something special if you choose to ignore it
I celebrate the solstice. It just happens to coincide with the holiday that gets me days off work.

The position of a fixed star in the heavens varies at most one degree each day. Only a miraculous phenomenon could have been the Star of Bethlehem. it was like the miraculous pillar of fire which stood in the camp by night during Israel's Exodus (Exodus 13:21), or to the ';brightness of God'; which shone round about the shepherds (Luke 2:9), or to ';the light from heaven'; which shone around about the stricken Saul (Acts 9:3).








Worshiping Christ is proper according to the NT. Not only did the angels worship him (Heb. 1:6), but so are all creatures to worship him both in heaven and earth (Rev. 5:13,14). Furthermore, we are to give him equal honor with the Father (John 5:23). To worship Christ on any day is proper, including December 25th.
