My real nail on my pinky finger, is lifting up and i want to get the false nail off without infecting my real nail. Does anyone no off a way?How do you get false nails off when my nail is lifting up?
Well if it's gel, you'll have to go to the salon, or slowly file the crap out of it yourself! If it's acrylic, you'll need a small metal or glass bowl, nail polish remover, and old nail file and a old towel or paper towel. First, file the nail, then soak for 5 minutes, then wipe product off on towel. Keep repeating these steps until all the product is gone. Should take 15-20 minutes. Good luck! How do you get false nails off when my nail is lifting up?
DON'T SOAK IN ACETONE !!!
if ur real nail is lifting then the last thing you ought to do to ur nail bed is expose it to an acetone soak
Cut the fake nail real short. wait for the nail bed to heal for at least a week, and then gently file the thick part of the onlay from your nail ---- being super careful not to file into your natural nail.
wear a small plaster as often as you can to ensure your nail bed heals without further damage. the last thing you want to do is further damage your nail bed.
good luck
Acetone in a bowl which is in turn placed into a bowl of hot water OR soak cotton wool in the acetone, wrap it around the nail and then wrap tin foil around that. It takes a while. Any remnants need to be filed off gently and then buffed (with the rubbery side of your file) to get the shine back.
A quick fix, until you can get back to the beautician is a plaster. It looks a bit daft but better than having one nail shorter or different looking from the rest.
The easiest and healthiest way to do that with out any damage is to soak it in acetone. It might take a bit. Most nail shops will remove your nails for an average of 10 dollars. Try a shop that sells beauty shop supplies such as Sally's. They sell it for very cheap and you just soak it in the acetone for around 30 min possibly more if needed and you are done. It will eat away the acrylic.
soak it in acetone or at least nailpolish remover if you don't have pure acetone
Really, i do not
