How common is a false negative pregnancy test day taken after period is due?

My period is four days overdue. Took a First Response the day after my period was due and it was a very strong negative. Tested late in the day, however, not with my first morning urine. Have not had unprotected sex this month (although my boyfriend has put it in a few times without a condom to get ';warmed up';) No obvious condom malfunctions. I got false negatives 5 times before getting a positive and it was 11 days after my period was due! However, stress can postpone your period even more. It should come soon. If not, test again. Make sure to use your first morning's urine to be sure. But I doubt it's pregnancy if you were pretty safe about it. 4 days late is not a problem, may be you are feeling stressed that's why! its good to do another test and make sure you do this test early in the morning that gives you more accurate result! all the best!
I doubt it. You should have tested in the morning for best results though. 4 days is nothing to worry about yet. You'll probably get your period in the next few days. If not take another test.
