I have observed that many times some question is asked and some people clearly give the wrong answer on purpose. I think its because they know the party they support is being exposed by the question, so instead of admitting a failing or not answering at all, they give the complete opposite answer than the correct answer...trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes. who does this more on here, democrats, or republicans? any examples?Who is more likely to knowingly give a false answer regarding politics, a democrat or republican?
None of the above, only a ';snipper fire'; can make honorables do such a despicable thing!Who is more likely to knowingly give a false answer regarding politics, a democrat or republican?
The biggest problem of all is that it doesn't matter if your an Republican or a Democrat or Independent,';They are all liar's by nature.'; John (8:44) You are of your father the Devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie,he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of all liars.
The candidate that wants to win is more likely to knowingly give a false answer. It's called politcal expediency and we all know it's the way Americans like it. We will forgive the candidate who ';doesn't recall';, or ';misunderstood the question'; over the candidate that tells us what we don't want to hear. We support liars, by not electing those who speak the truth.
DUDE. Republicans!!! :)
I noticed that another tactic I see on here constantly is that whole ad hominem abusive fallacy: Somebody asks a question about their candidate and the reply goes something like, ';You're an idiot and you don't know what you're talking about!'; Or instead of answering, they attack the opposing party: ';Yeah, but Obama picked his nose when he was in kindergarten so he's The Big Nasty!!! Go McCain!!!';
Whoever has the most to lose or stands to be hurt by it the most. Libs and Conservatives both do it, without a doubt.
The primaries are a perfect example in my opinion. Both Hillary and Obama seem to be dodging and ducking a lot lately. They do whatever they have to in order to look the most appealing to the most voters. The same could be said of McCain but I don't honestly think he's had nearly as much baggage as of late.
They are all politicians, i.e. individuals who have chosen politics as a profession. That being the case, they are all consummate liars, and will say whatever they think will win the favor of their particular audience.
I do not believe that there is a nickles worth of difference between any of them.
The Democrat. There are a couple of reasons for it. They either did not understand the question, OR by lying or omitting information they are attempting to get their agenda through. The SHIP program is a perfect example. They tried to make it sound like there was no health care coverage at all, when in reality there was, and they wanted to increase it another 15 billion to include people who are making enough wages to cover it themselves. They were lying their way into socialism.
It mostly a matter of opinion and who has morals with the combination of a lack of education. So mostly its the Libs who are in la la land believing the Hollywood fiction movies subliminally bringing politics into their movies. Not to mention the biggest loof M.Moore who is a leader of lies so he can buy fancy cars and million dollar mansions. .
HONEST POLITICIAN = OXYMORON
The same could be said for some people when presented with evidence to the contrary of their chosen candidate. They then chose distraction as a means in which to deflect from the question/evidence at hand. I think all political parties/supporters are guilty, it is human nature.
i think that question is irrelevant to your party. I mean, maybe someone could do that, but it could totally happen to a democrat, republican, independent, it dosn't matter.
Hillary Clinton - Democrat
Hillary has an 'easy pass' on everything in her life....all smoke and mirrors...
Bill says: ';In law school, Hillary worked on legal services for the poor.'; The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a Federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.
Bill says: ';Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids.'; The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.
Bill says: ';Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers.'; The facts are: She flunked the D.C. bar exam. Yes, FLUNKED. It is a matter of record, and she only barely passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas, NONE; and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.
Bill says: ';President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman.'; The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.
Bill says: ';She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital.'; The facts are: Yes, she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-Mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices.
Bill says: ';Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994, but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance.'; The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.
Bill says: ';Hillary was the face of America all over the world.'; The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running The White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic, and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.
Bill says: ';Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues.'; The facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has helped to pass only four substantive pieces of legislation. One set up a national park in Puerto Rico. A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions. And two were routine bills to aid 911 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation. Presently, she is trying to have the U.S. memorialize the Woodstock fiasco of 40 years ago.
Mc Cain the Maverick i used to like him now he is a watered down version of what he was. He was against tax breaks for the rich, now he is, Flip-flop.
Republicans don't think clearly because of adherence to faulty premises. Democrats sometimes complain, but their answers are more accurate.
Both parties are guilty of covering up, but apparently they are not pulling the wool over your eyes, so perhaps they are npot as clever as they thought.
I think the election of 2000 should answer your question.
Republicans give wrong answers as much as Democrats.
But if I had to truthfully decide it would be a Republican
It use to be Republicans, But Clinton democrats are worst.
They sound like south park idiots.
Hasn't this been proven over and over in the past eight years???? How many times has Dubya lied (WMDS, false intelligence...) McCain is Bush.
they are equal liars, designed to divide the populace so the populace doesn't hang them.
Any of them will if they think they can get by with it...the only one I ever knew of theat really history let go was George
Washington....';I cannot tell a lie...'; Hog wash! That was a lie in itself!
All of the above.
The truth hurts, whether you're a Republican or Democrat.
both parties and I am a registered Republican. Nobody is innocent.
I would say republicans, but good ole Hillary is a close second
Obama.
who ever win the contest
Google it.
Have you been a sleep the past seven years?
how do you know when a politician is lying?
There are liars on both sides, but there are more professional liars working for the conservatives. Read David Brock's book ';Blinded by the Right.';
While the disagreements between us are more often because of true belief, which allows for error without dishonesty, the republicans seem to have gathered a collection of knowingly wrong paid misinformants quite deliberately, many of whom can be seen daily on Fox.
While Michael Moore and Al Franken might err from time to time, they are generally accurate. Their errors, when they make them, are a result of interpretation of data based on ideology. As David Brock has revealed, the propagandists of the right usually know better.
Rush Limbaugh, as Franken established so thoroughly, is a deliberate liar. So are Coulter, O'Reilly and Hannity. Like the President himself they lie for political advantage in the full knowledge that they are doing so.
In his book David Brock shows clearly how a conspiracy of neocon extremists set out to create and propagate the lies about Bill and Hillary Clinton, among others. Since he was not sued, we must assume he was telling the truth.
In his work Al Franken (admittedly a Democrat) also clearly demonstrates how O'Reilly and his crew knowingly lie about all manner of things. Even allowing for Franken's bias it is only fair to admit he makes his case too strongly to be ignored.
I am sure there are also Democratic liars, but most of the untruths you hear from the left are a matter of unquestioned belief rather than deliberate falsification. Not all errors are lies. Mind you, ignorance of the truth is a lame enough excuse. Honourable but stupid compares poorly with dishonest but clever.
If we run Obama against McCain we will see that both men probably fall into the former category, but they will have plenty of the latter loading for them.
