How can you tell the difference between false hope and intuition?

I was wondering if anyone could give me an example, or share their thoughts. I really can't discern any difference. How can you tell the difference between false hope and intuition?
false hope? hope is hope. unless you're just PRETENDING to hope for something. But who does that?

Intuition? Man, are you trying to win the ';Let's Compare Apples To Oranges'; competition or something? How can you tell the difference between false hope and intuition?
That's because there isn't a difference - the two are totally unrelated.

Intuition is what happens when your mind presents a possibility.

False hope is what happens when you decide that a possibility is going to present itself regardless of your personal ability.

Perhaps there is a similarity therefore - False Hope is a Concious Decision, whereas Intuition is a Subconcious Phenomena.
Your intuition will tell you if something is just a false hope. With false hope, you feel a slight bit of hollowness because you know it isn't true, while intuition tells you where your hope is safest.
Hope is not false. Hope is a perspective about the future and that the future will unfold in a certain way. it isn't a guarantee.

Intuition has nothing to do with hope.
If you act on true intuition, the results are good.

If you act on false hope, the results are no better than guesswork.
Is there a difference?
