What is the penalty for making a false claim with the insurance company if you never received a check?

i had my wheels stolen and i told the insurance company i had different wheels than i actually had. I canceled the claim before they sent me a check. What is the penalty for making a false claim with the insurance company if you never received a check?
If you filed a fraudulent claim, even if you did not benefit from it, you can be prosecuted for a felony.

You don't have to actually make money to have committed the crime.

What is the penalty for making a false claim with the insurance company if you never received a check?
If you canceled the claim, I presume this was a retraction. Nothing will happen to you because you retracted.

If you did not retract your false statements, you could be sued or prosecuted, even if you were caught before the check was sent.
Fraud.
