And what makes some people to thumb up these so called ';answers'; and to ';thumb down'; the correct ones? Don't they understand that they are misleading other people and not everything around them is just a stupid game?
Is there any scientific explanation or a diagnosis to the behavior like that? What drives people to write intentionally false answers?
They seem to think it is funny to mislead people..
It doesnt make sense since they will not be around to witness what happens next..
They are also ';thumbing up'; funny answers just because they agree that they are funny..
It is just rude.. but sometimes they do honestly believe that a question on here is a joke itself and they think that they are just going along with the joke... that that is a rare case..What drives people to write intentionally false answers?
Some people don't know anything about music, or geometry, or geography, or history or they can't speak any foreign language. They are miserable, they can't actually answer any question demanding a knowledge of anything besides pushing their opinion as the ultimate truth. Right here right now they can do what some 20 years ago as possible only on the walls of the public WC. Asking a question makes you wondarable for them. Awaiting for your answer being chosen as the best makes you wondarable for them. It makes them feel powerful. If they can't lead anywhere than they will at least mislead somewhere.
I honestly think its all about the point system Yahoo has centered this answers system around. Psychologically we just want more points, and people will do whatever they can to increase in points. I guess its kind of like all the flashing lights and 'bing' sounds in casino's enticing people to keep playing.
