In R%26amp;S, people keep spreading false information and hate about religions, is this a good reason to report?Does giving false information count as a good reason to report someone?
If they are knowingly doing that, then yes you should. I am always in that section and they keep spreading hate and false information to others in regards to certain religions. Report but make sure you type in the reason.

^_^Does giving false information count as a good reason to report someone?
It depends. If you consider the information 'false' because it is not in agreement with your opinion or religious beliefs, you should not report it. Others are entitled to beliefs that differ from yours. Therefore, you should not report, for example, for posting their opinion that there is no god.
On the other hand, if the answer posted is hateful, insulting, vulgar, or otherwise a rant rather than a clearly expressed opinion, you can report it.
When does a strong opinion become a violation?
Respectfully expressed strong opinions that contribute to useful knowledge for the community are OK on Yahoo! Answers. However, questions and answers that express hate and intolerance have no place on Yahoo! Answers and should be reported. Do not use slurs to refer to groups of people, do not insult other members, and do not act in a belligerent manner towards others.
If you see something that is personally offensive to you but does not violate the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, please do not report it. It’s also not OK to report someone because you disagree with that person’s opinion.
It is up to each member to report people who engage in this kind of behavior, and to refrain from participating in a similar manner. Everyone has opinions, and it’s what makes Answers vibrant and fun, so report the violations and move on.
What makes the information false? Is it against your beliefs then it may not be false, just of differing ideals. Is the information actually untrue, there may not be any intent there, even if the information is inaccurate, the person may actually believe the information to be factual. Wrong answers are still answers. Now is the person trying to be mean spirited, degrade and bigoted? If yes, then a report is in order.
Religion and Spirituality is meant to be debated.
The whole purpose of Yahoo! Answers is to provide responses with as much detailed and correct information about a topic as you can. Hence, if you spot someone purposely and blatantly giving erroneous information or hate-filled messages, then I believe you are justified in reporting them.
Only if you think they are doing it on purpose.
